"When things are working right in the universe, a loss of innocence is usually followed, in time, but an increase in humanity.
Time is funny like that. For everything it robs us of, it grants us something. Sometimes it's a new friend, sometimes it's a better understanding of ourselves. Sometimes, it's just a perfect day."

Billy Elliot!

Tutor 1: What does it feel like when you're dancing?
Billy: Don't know. Sorta feels good. Sorta stiff and that, but once I get going... then I like, forget everything. And...
sorta disappear...
Sorta disappear...

Like I feel a change in my whole body. And I've got this fire in my body. I'm just there. Flyin' ike a bird. Like electricity. Yeah, like electricity.

How often do you find the right person?

This years' Oscar winner for "Original Song" from the movie "once", written and performed by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. The acceptance speech here.

I don't know you but I want you all the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves out
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along

Arte e Cultura do Império Russo nas Colecções do Hermitage - Peter I, The Great

Ilumina-me...

Heart

"A heart is a fragile thing. That's why we protect them so vigorously, give them away so rarely and why it means so much when we do. Some hearts are more fragile than others. Purer somehow. Like crystal in a world of glass, even the way they shatter is beautiful."

The Rose

Some say love it is a river that drowns the tender reed
Some say love it is a razer that leaves your soul to blead
Some say love it is a hunger an endless aching need
I say love it is a flower and you it's only seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of wakingthat never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give
and the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winterfar beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose

Mesa de Cabeceira (I)

mental note

"The speed and direction of our path through life are pretty good measures of our age.
We race headlong through childhood, never looking back; wanting it to end as quickly as possible. As we get older, we occasionally slow down long enough to look around and savor certain moments: It's a sure sign of growing up.
It's only in our twilight years, when our pace is slowed and the long race is nearing the end that we spend most of our time looking backwards, and we wonder why we were ever in such a hurry."

mal-entendido

I also...

... feel like this a lot of times!

(Pon & Zi by Jeff Thomas)
For small reasons, sometimes even stupid, but they make me smile in the middle of somewhere and I stoped caring... maybe I am crazy but at least I am happy.
I feel like that when...
... the sun comes up and warms my body,
... I am charmed by the beauty of nature,
... the cities and its unique buildings and people amazes me.

But special when someone, living so far away, calls because they are in the mood to speak with me! I just adore you both!
